I am always on the look out for interesting new spaces that encapsulate bohemian décor, and thanks to the powers of instagram I came across Palm Vaults. As soon as I laid eyes on the décor, I knew I needed to visit this trendy little café pronto. Think 70’s glamour with on trend green and pink décor, brass and gold accents styled with macramé planters filled with all kinds of greenery and foliage.
Located in Hackney, Palm Vaults has been a bit of a hidden gem from when it opened in 2016. A few work friends had mentioned it to me a while back and told me how cool it was, so it’s no surprise that its now fast becoming an instagrammers dream thanks to its quirky interiors.

INTERIORS & DECOR
A vintage glam bohemian scheme runs throughout with pink leather vintage chairs finished with brass detailing and pink marbled table tops on a brass geometric stand. And how could velvet not make an appearance!? Crushed pink velvet on rattan chairs and brass accents like glamorous light fittings finish off the look. I was very tempted to just take one of the chairs home with me as they were that darn gorgeous!
Greenery is the biggest trend this year which has also seen a comeback of the macramé hanging planters. Palm Vaults have cleverly made this trend into their unique concept by hanging all types of ferns, cacti and trailing foliage fall from the ceiling creating a relaxed and cool look. Vintage noticeboards and pink receipt paper add a touch of fun whilst the exposed brick wall adds that touch of modern edginess.
Even the tiniest of details have been carefully thought through at Palm Vaults. They have branded takeaway cups, loyalty cards and a pink and green palm printed toilet. As the brand becomes well known in its own right, I wouldn’t be surprised if a Palm Vaults book were on the horizon in the near future!
FOOD & DRINK
The food is as instagrammable as the décor featuring rainbow coloured coffees and lattes. The pastries and the bold and beautiful cakes from Victoria Yum taste as good as they look. The whole menu is creatively based around a plant based diet. Dishes change regularly depending on what they can source. Expect to find staples such as avocado on toast with chilli seeds, chia seed fruit bowls and toasties.
GET THE LOOK: PALM VAULTS
I want to show you how you can recreate this 70’s Bohemian Miami look whether that’s by going bold with wallpaper or styling glamourous accessories. Sometimes you do need to spend a little more on the statement pieces like a pink blush velvet chair or a marble table but they are well worth the investment. Many of the items that I have chosen are extremely affordable and accessible costing under £80.
Palm Vaults is now becoming so popular that you will find it hard to be seated unless you have made a reservation. As I wanted to take photographs of the décor and interiors, I knew I needed to get there early. I arrived just after opening at 9am on a Saturday and managed to take some of the photos I wanted. But by 9.15/9.30am it was packed and a queue had formed just from bookings. We were only allowed to have a quick coffee and slice of cake as we didn’t book, so if want to taste the delights of the cuisine and take endless amounts of insta snaps – book in advance and take an early 9am slot.
