House of Fraser or HoF as I like to call it, kindly invited me to attend the SS17 Homeware preview this week, set in a gorgeous venue at 1 Marylebone Road.
It was an amazing diverse collection and very interesting to see the trends emerging for House of Fraser in SS17.
Whether you are a traditional, eclectic or bohemian kinda girl, I’m sure there’s going to be at least one of the below collections that you’ll love.
I’m now going to let the pictures do the talking….
Launching for Spring/Summer 2017, Juniper is an eastern inspired range channelling a decorative colonial style with a modern twist. Featuring beautiful greys and earthy tones, this collection is both versatile and timeless.
The elegant and soft atheistic style of Casa Couture is similar to the Juniper range but with a more contemporary edge. Metallics are set to be a big trend for next year and the textured silver pieces, like the coffee table and accessories within this range are a great way to introduce luxe without it looking OTT.
Without doubt, BIBA was one my favourite collections at the event. I love eclectic interior décor and this range is exactly that with an added glamourous edge. With a mixture of bold prints, sumptuous textures and gold inspired retro silhouettes, I can see this collection selling fast!
Linear Home- Villa Vista
Vibrant and uplifting with a mix of bold colours, Villa Vista was inspired by the summer party season and exotic fiestas. I personally love the blend of tropical, geo bright’s and flora & fauna of the jungle styles, so for those of us that are a little more experimental, its a really exciting range.
Linear Home- Tribe
Tribe draws inspiration from the key elements of modern African design including bold prints, intricate embroidery and ornate carvings. Various pieces in the collection, like the weave trays (shown below hanging on the wall) are handwoven which I think adds such a authentic vibes to any home. Tribe is definitively a more grown up take on this African inspired trend with monochrome, block colour and geo prints featuring throughout.
Linea Home- Mirage
Mirage is for those of us who are Bohemian girls at heart. Focusing in on folklore, global tradition and artisanal styles, Mirage creates a beautiful refined rustic vibe. The palette is soft and sun-bleached while nature-inspired finishes and prettier florals are mixed with updated traditional patterns of kilim and ikats.
Linea Home- Coast
Its no surprise that the Coastal trend has emerged again for SS17. With a nautical take on a casual approach, Coast has drawn inspiration from moody blue skies and the wild shoreline. Featuring a palette of gorgeous watery blues and inky tones combined with contemporary style results in a cool seaside aesthetic.
Living by Christiane Lemieux
This collection was another one of my favourites. It has a real vintage eclectic theme running throughout with a nod to mid-century glamour. With styling and accessories finished off with luxe material, refined matte finishes and vibrant prints, this would create a contemporary update in any home. I absolutely need this sideboard, its gorgeous right!?
For me, the best House of Fraser collections were BIBA and Living by Christiane Lemieux. They oozed glamour and eccentricity complemented by luxe finishes.
